Smile for the Camera
20x16
Oil on Stretched Canvas
unframed
My Private Collection
This is a portrait I painted of my youngest son. I painted it from a picture taken at the daycare he was attending at the time. He was not happy about having his picture taken, and the photographer just barely got this before he cried.
I am currently working on a commissioned portrait of a three year old girl and will post it once it's complete.

This is Vowels Lake, which is a small lake just north of Parry Sound, Ontario. I'll be posting a few from this area. I've been taking a class with an artist named Stefan Galvanek ....well actually for years now. I've told him that I'm a member for life. He introduced me to this lovely area. Parry Sound is a town that loves art, with summer studio tours and "Paint the Town" which an event that welcomes artists set up along the streets and paint. Lots of fun to walk around and stop to watch the artists at work. You can even go for a cool drink, come back and purchase one straight off the easel.

My first posting to my blog, "My Daily Paintings". How exciting!
I've decided to follow the movement and try to paint at least one painting each day, and will be displaying them on this blog for sale.
Will also be posting some currently available paintings until I'm ready for my first daily post.
