Onpainting - Thanks Bill. It's difficult to find people willing to sit. My kids will actually run from the room.:) I spoke to the daughters of an artist friend at a show and they said it was tough to be the child of an artist. They said their dad would always approach them at the worst times. eg. 5 am arriving home from a New Year's Eve party. "Come, sit, I will paint your portrait." :) Funny to hear the other side.
Bill, Just thinking about your comment about the red and blue, thinking my next painting should have been yellow :) but realized that it's violet which works! :D

I'm an artist and daily painter (well I try to post daily) from just north of Toronto, in Canada. I paint portraits or figures mainly. I am also using this venue to explore some different ideas and techniques. Please contact me by email if you are interested in purchasing one of the paintings you see on my blog. I do accept online portrait commissions working from photographs including commissions for portrait miniatures. Please email me for further information. Thanks for visiting!

Trust me, you did just that. And thanks for following my blog.
Wow! Your portraits are exquisite!
This is wonderful Irene. The skin tones and the softness of the piece. Love his expression and the lips, wow.
I like seeing these two paintings together, the red and the blue. Both are very appealing. You must get people begging to pose for you.
